Hoy voy a escribiros sobre la forma correcta de usar las medias, comienzo con una breve reseña histórica.
En un principio la necesidad de protegerse del frío, dió paso a la invención de las medias, generalmente las utilizaban los soldados, (eran los que más estaban expuestos al frío).
En el siglo XVI, las medias fueron parte del atuendo masculino, eran un signo de ostentación, lujo y virilidad.
Para que quedarán elegantes, se ajustaban a la pierna, podían ser de punto o seda y de colores vivos como el amarillo uno de los preferidos en esa época.

Today I will write about the right way to use the stockings, I start with a brief historical review.

Aunque las mujeres empezaron a utilizarlas en el siglo VII, para entonces y durante mucho tiempo, fue una prenda que permaneció oculta bajo la falda, debido a que no se podían mostrar las piernas.
La gran revolución de las medias se debió a la introducción de la fibra sintética, que la hizo mas fina y transparente, lo que permite lucir las piernas de una forma elegante.

En actos formales y aunque las piernas estén cubiertas, se deben llevar medias . Son imprescindible como complemento de cualquier vestido en ocasiones formales, aunque sea verano.

Desde el punto de vista estilístico, las medias oscuras estilizan una pierna gruesa y las medias con dibujos dirigen la mirada hacia ellas, por lo que no es recomendable su uso para mujeres que no deseen llamar la atención sobre sus piernas.
Si se usan en verano con zapato descubierto, estos no deben tener talón ni punta.
From the stylistic point of view, the dark socks stylize a thick leg and the stockings with drawings direct the gaze towards them, so it is not advisable to use them for women who do not want to draw attention to their legs.
If used in summer with bare shoes, they should not have a heel or tip.
